Walk for Special Olympics

The Walk for Special Olympics is a 2 mile untimed walk that starts after the Hot Chocolate 5k/15k race. Please note that Walk participants will enjoy a different start time, course, and finish line than the Hot Chocolate 15k/5k. Walk for Special Olympics participants will not be able to start/race/finish with 5k/15k participants.

Special Olympics transforms lives through the joy of sport, every day, everywhere. They are the world’s largest sports organization for people with intellectual disabilities: with more than 4.5 million athletes in 170 countries -- and millions more volunteers and supporters. They are also a global social movement.

Through the power of sports, people with intellectual disabilities discover new strengths and abilities, skills and success. Special Olympics athletes find joy, confidence and fulfillment -- on the playing field and in life. They also inspire people in their communities and elsewhere to open their hearts to a wider world of human talents and potential.
