Race Day Parking and Directions

Ride the Trolley
Riding the trolley is a great way to avoid race-day traffic and parking fees. The 12th & Imperial Trolley Station is located within one block of Gear Check and the Post-Race Party. Both the Orange and Blue Lines will be running prior to the race. Visit the MTS website for more details and to see Sunday morning trolley schedules.

Getting there by Car

Please plan for heavy traffic race morning and allow plenty of extra time to get to the parking lots surrounding the ballpark. We want to make sure all participants arrive in time to check their gear and get to the start of the race in a timely manner. We strongly encourage carpooling.

Directions
From the North: Take I-5 to Exit 16 to 10th Avenue or Exit 17 to Front Street
From The South: Take I-5 to Exit 14B, Cesar E. Chavez Parkway

PLEASE NOTE: I-5 exits at B Street/Pershing will be CLOSED to both northbound and southbound traffic race morning.

Parking
Race-day parking will be available in a number of parking lots and garages near the race start for $10 CASH ONLY (see map below). These lots will open at 5:00am. Limited street parking is available for free at metered spots on Sundays. Various public garages in the areas will also be open. Rates at these garages vary.

Padres Parkade — Entrance to this garage is on 10th Avenue between Island and J Street. Exit from this garage is on 11th Avenue between Island and J Street.

Tailgate Park South — Entrance and exit to this surface lot is on Imperial Avenue between 12th Ave and 14th Street.

8th & Harbor Public Garage — Located on 8th Avenue and Harbor Drive. Entrance and exit to this garage is on Harbor Drive.

D1/D2 Lot — Entrance to this surface lot is on 11th Avenue at Imperial Avenue. Exit is on Park Boulevard.

11th and C Lot –  Located on C Street between 10th and 11th Avenue. Entrance and exit to this surface lot is on 10th Avenue or 11th Avenue between C Street and Broadway.

Horton Pacific Garage — Located on First Avenue between E and F Streets. Entrance and exit is on First Avenue.

Bicycle Parking
Bike Racks are located at the corner of Park Boulevard and Tony Gywnn Drive, at the corner of Park Boulevard and 10th Avenue, on J Street at 8th and 9th Avenues, and across from the Gaslamp Entry Gate on 7th Avenue.
