Our mission at RAM Racing is not only to raise funds to support our official charities but also to promote, raise awareness and support the mission of the organization.
Make-A-Wish® creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. We are on a quest to bring every eligible child's wish to life, because a wish is an integral part of a child's treatment journey. Research shows children who have wishes granted build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight a critical illness. Headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, Make-A-Wish® is the world’s leading children’s wish-granting organization, serving children in every community in the United States and in 50 countries worldwide. Together, generous donors, supporters, staff and 33,000 volunteers across the U.S., grant a wish every 34 minutes, on average, somewhere in the country. Since 1980, Make-A-Wish® has granted more than 285,000 wishes to children in the U.S. and its territories; more than 15,300 in 2016 alone. Your support can help grant wishes for kids like Kiki.
Eleven-year-old wish recipient, Kiki, has a thing for animals. And, the feeling is mutual. According to her wish-granting volunteer, Teresa, “When she's out in public, it's common for dogs to fly at her full speed, and then immediately stop just before her, and slowly walk up to sniff her and gently be in her presence.”
Nothing makes the Monroe, WA resident happier than animals. So, when her wish-granting team met with her and her family, a wish for a companion dog seemed like the perfect fit.
Unable to speak and living with developmental delays due to a life-threatening neurologic condition, having a companion dog will give Kiki with the company that she longs for. That friendship will provide years of comfort for Kiki and her family. That’s what you make possible when you support Make-A-Wish®.
